The Classical Art Museum of Mougins

Discover the Classical Art Museum in the heart of the old village of Mougins. It displays on four levels a unique collection of antiquities comprising over 700 works —sculptures, vases, jewellery and coins, of Roman, Greek and Egyptian origin, and the world’s largest private collection of ancient armour and weapons.

These artworks are completed by over a hundred paintings, drawings and sculptures by artists like Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Dufy, Cézanne, Rodin, Dali, Andy Warhol, Marc Quinn, Antony Gormley, and Damien Hirst. For children, touch screens all along the way provide interactive presentations.

The Museum was founded by Christian Levett, a British businessman specialized in investment management and fascinated by Ancient art.

In 2008, he wished to display part of his collection to the public by creating a museum in Mougins, where he owns a house.
